 The United States Marine Corps operated the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II in Vietnam primarily in the ground support role. This painting shows an F-4B from Marine Attack Squadron VMFA-122 just prior to release of a full load of Mk.82 500 lb. bombs on an enemy position. The Marines are very good at their mission. This painting is in the collection of McDonnell Douglas at Lambert Field, St. Louis, Missouri.
